A splendid, eighteenth-century space with a succession of rooms that looks out onto the Rue Esprit des Lois and the Îlot Louis, renovated with the help of a painter specialised in heritage decoration. The contemporary kitchen and furniture provide an appealing contrast to this unusual ensemble.
Composed of a succession of rooms and accessed by two staircases (one for use by the residents and their guests, the other by the servants), this apartment faithfully reflects the French art of living in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Our intervention respects the original layout and increases the quality of usage and the comfort of the apartment’s rooms by adding custom-made cabinetry.
The original gilding was preserved, and a light patina was applied to the wood joinery to give it a subtly faded appearance.
