Part of the historically protected sector of Paris’ seventh arrondissement

Located in Paris’ seventh arrondissement, between Rue Las Cases and Rue Saint Dominique, the Hôtel de Broglie is composed of several constructions from different eras, the hôtel particulier itself dating back to the early seventeenth century. Due to its proximity to the Palais Bourbon, this complex was acquired in 2017 by the National Assembly to house the offices of 130 members of parliament and their staff.

History

The Hôtel de Broglie forms the central component of this complex. It was built by its owner, Achille de Broglie, in 1720, at the corner of Rue Saint-Dominique and Rue de Bourgogne. Floors were added in 1883, and the rest of the building underwent an extensive remodelling at the end of the nineteenth century as well.

As part of the group led by AIA Life Designers, we provided the know-how for working with historical monuments, managing the building envelope, and restoring the historically protected rooms within the Hôtel de Broglie.
